Our offers for schoolgirls

The students go through individual exercise stations and deal with key aspects of the technical degree courses in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology. Among other things, the following tasks can be offered:

• Create a QR code
• Creating a mini website with HTML
• Soldering a circuit
• Programming a Lego robot with a light sensor
• Mirror test for spatial thinking
• 3D modeling

Duration: about 4 hours (depending on group size)

Target group: Pupils in grades 5-13

The Mini Amazon Rally is our edition of the Amazon Rally for younger children.

Here we retain the general principle of the Amazon Rally, i.e. the pupils go through individual exercise stations and learn about the basics of physics in a fun way. The experiments on offer include, for example

• Gummy bears on a dive
• Bottle tornado
• Lava lamp
• LEGO robot

Duration: about 2 hours (depending on group size)

Target group: Pupils in grades 1-4

This experiment primarily represents the mechanical engineering study program. The students first receive an introduction to the topic of 3D printing and learn how to draw in three dimensions. They then use the "TinkerCAD" drawing program to create a virtual 3D object. With our 3D printer, this then becomes a physically tangible object. Of course, the students can take their additively manufactured part home with them at the end of the day.

Target group: Pupils from grade 8

This experiment combines the mechanical and electrical engineering courses.

First, the students design the individual components of a house using CAD software. They then cut them to size using an automatic cutter. Once the students have assembled the house, they mount a solar cell on the roof. This was previously soldered to a light bulb and fitted with a toggle switch. Last but not least, the pupils can now design their house individually according to their wishes. The model can of course be taken home.

Target group: Pupils from year 7

In this event, our guests work in teams to assemble a LEGO robot.

This is then programmed using LEGO software so that it can follow a specified route at the end of the event using its light sensor.

This experiment focuses on getting to know the basic programming commands and how sensors work in a playful way.

Target group: Pupils from grade 4

In this experiment, two LED lights are soldered to a circuit board and connected to a battery and a resistor. The result should be as follows: Depending on which pole is held, one or the other lamp should light up. If both light up at the same time, the cathode and anode of one lamp have been mixed up. This experiment combines the fields of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
