Preventing violence in workshops for people with disabilities

Fully booked - No more registration possible!

Symposium "Prevention of violence", 01.09.2022,
10:00 - 17:00, Emil-Figge-Straße 40, Room E24

Preventing and protecting against violence is a high priority in the workshops for people with disabilities in North Rhine-Westphalia. Protection concepts and training measures are part of everyday practice. At the same time, those responsible for the workshops are constantly encountering new challenges in their daily work that need to be addressed. The workshops must also respond to the changing requirements of service providers and state supervisory authorities. Finally, the issue of violence also has a major impact on the way society views the workshops.

We would like to discuss all these topics and many more with you at a symposium.

Representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia, the regional associations and the state working group of workshop councils have already confirmed their participation. We are particularly looking forward to a keynote speech from the Hamburg Institute for Social Research, one of the leading institutions in the field of violence research.

We look forward to welcoming you and are excited about the exchange, insights and discussions.

Michael Weber and Michael Boecker are looking forward to a stimulating and exciting exchange
