Barrier-free access to the Emil-Figge-Straße (EFS) campus of Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts

• Both tracks of the S-Bahn station are equipped with an elevator and escalators. The elevator also provides access to the H-Bahn.
• Take the elevator to the first floor (EG) or take the escalator to the top.
• Your back is to the H-Bahn stop and you have a view of the large open staircase. Keep to the right and take the paved path next to the exit to the S-Bahn in the direction of "Dortmund Hauptbahnhof". There is no tactile guidance system on this path. The path climbs slightly and curves up to the building at Emil-Figge-Straße 44.
• The first entrance(automatic sliding doors) leads into the extension of the EFS 44 building (lecture hall). From here, the entire building can be used barrier-free. The main entrance and the central information point/gate are located at the other end of the building.
• Buildings 38, 38a, 38b, 40, 40a and 42 can be reached in the same way. They are located behind building 44.
• You can either walk through buildings 44 and 42(tactile guidance system between the buildings) or walk along the outside of the buildings.
• You can follow the guidance system from the east exit of building 44 (walk right through the first floor) and then enter building 42, walk approx. 10 meters straight ahead to the door and then follow the guidance system again. The buildings are marked with attention fields.

Alternative route from the "Universität" S-Bahn stop with tactile guidance system:

• The platforms have two exits with escalators leading to the surface. Once at the surface of the stop, a tactile guidance system begins.
• Coming from Düsseldorf, follow the guidance system to the first junction. Follow the only option at a 90 degree angle to the right or left. The next junction leads to the second platform for trains coming from Dortmund.
• Coming from Dortmund, the escalator should be on the right-hand side of the stairs. Turn right here at the first junction, otherwise turn left.
• Coming from Düsseldorf, continue straight ahead. At the junction, follow the path that runs diagonally to the right. A flight of steps begins here.
• Follow the stairs over three steps all the way to the top. Follow the subsequent guidance system to the right. It leads directly to the main entrance and central information point/gate of EFS 44.

• Cross the road from Dortmund-Dorstfeld. Take the stairs or elevator to the campus. From there, keep slightly to the right and, if necessary, follow the tactile guidance system straight ahead to EFS 44. Please note: Crossing Vogelpothsweg is very confusing and dangerous. Alternatively, pedestrians can use the stairs located in the parking lot on the same side of the bus platform. Follow this and keep right at the top, then continue straight ahead until you reach the EFS 44 building.
• From the direction of Hacheney/Hombruch, the exit is directly on the side where the elevator and stairs are next to each other. Take the stairs or elevator to the campus. From there, keep slightly to the right and, if necessary, follow the tactile guidance system straight ahead to EFS 44.

• From the direction of Phönixsee/Barop, cross the road at the pedestrian island (marked with a tactile guidance system). After the pedestrian island, keep right and turn left into the entrance to the Fachhochschule Dortmund campus.
• From the direction of the university, keep right and after about three meters turn left into the entrance to the campus.
• Keep left for buildings 38 to 40a. Keep right for buildings 42 and 44.

• There is a large parking lot on the right-hand side of Emil-Figge-Straße.
• Parking spaces for people with limited mobility and the corresponding parking permit are located on campus. The parking spaces are located in front of the buildings EFS 38 and 42 (at the end of the EFS entrance keep right and at the next junction keep left) and at EFS 44 (at the end of the EFS entrance keep right).
