Workshop for FH students
When do I mention salary in the application process? How do I formulate my salary expectations? How do I respond to counter-arguments? The workshop, which is offered by the Equal Opportunities Office on the occasion of International Women's Day for all female UAS students, provides answers to these and other questions.
The workshop will be held by Jessica Kreuzer (www.gehalt-offensive.de) and contains the following content:
- Education on structural inequality in pay (gender pay gap)
- Education on the importance of salary negotiation when starting a career
- The role of gender bias in market value research
- Timing & Tactics: knowing when to bring up salary in the application process.
- Wording: Confidently, but not arrogantly, state the salary expectation.
- Negotiation plan: Work out the specific negotiation plan based on the objectives and alternatives.
- Responding to counter-arguments: "We only pay..." confidently and based on facts.
- Psychological principles in negotiations and controlling emotions
- Live simulation: Simulate and practise negotiation situations with each other.
