Lecture Prof. Manfred Lux

Fast facts

Information

Next week, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, the final lecture in the “Building with Plant Fibers” series will take place. As usual, we’ll start at 6:00 p.m. in the faculty’s lecture hall at Emil-Figge-Str. 40.

We are pleased to welcome Prof. Manfred Lux as our guest speaker, who will present a lecture titled “Lightweight Typha Structures.” As the title suggests, the lecture will focus on another renewable raw material—typha—better known as cattail. As an architect, Prof. Manfred Lux runs his own architectural firm in Augsburg. As part of his Professorship in Structural Engineering and Building Materials at TH OWL Detmold, he conducts research on cattails and will, among other things, present the “Green Container” research project.
