Fast facts

Information

Katharina Immekus is a visual artist and Professor of Visual Design at the Faculty of Architecture at TU Darmstadt. She is best known for her linocuts, in which image, materiality and serial processes intertwine in a special way. After studying painting and graphics at the HGB Leipzig, she now lives and works in Leipzig and has also been active in architectural teaching for many years. In her lecture, Katharina Immekus will provide insights into her artistic practice and talk about linocuts as an independent form of expression between art and architecture. Selected publications and works will reveal thought processes that move between image creation, printing technique and spatial thinking.

The lectures take place in presence and start on Mondays at 18:00 in the faculty lecture hall. The lectures are open to the public and can be attended digitally via the QR code. Attendance in person is required for recognition of the module EV 3 /Office Perspective/.
