Round corner - activism in photography
What can you expect?
Gerardo Vizmanos is originally from Spain and studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York and the Royal College of Art in London. Today he lives and works between Berlin and New York.
Vizmanos' work explores the male body as a place of desire, freedom and emotional expression. Drawing on personal experiences, she combines artistic, political and historical perspectives in contrast to social contexts that regulate and categorize expressions of affection.
In his lecture, Gerardo will provide insights into his artistic practice, his training and his life as a non-commercial photographer. We will talk about working with people in front of the camera and discuss how movement, emotion and the body act as central elements.
