Symposium on the promotion of parental self-organization

Parental participation is becoming increasingly important in educational support. The symposium in the Faculty of Applied Social Studies(Opens in a new tab)  provides an insight into the current results of a research project led by Prof. Dr. Nicole Knuth(Opens in a new tab)  and Prof. Dr. Stefanie Rosenmüller(Opens in a new tab)  on the attitudes of professionals towards parents' self-organizations, shows possible courses of action and invites reflection.

The aim is to make professional attitudes visible, discuss challenges and jointly develop ways to strengthen parents' self-organizations in home education.

Program

  • 13:30-13:45: Welcome (Prof. Dr. Nicole Knuth, Prof. Dr. Stefanie Rosenmüller)
  • 13:45-14:45: Introductory lecture: Impulses for parental participation(Prof. Dr. Hans-Ullrich Krause(Opens in a new tab) )
  • 14:45-15:30: Research results of the project "Attitudes of professionals towards self-organizations in home education - EstO" (M.A. Benjamin Hantke)
  • 15:30-16:00: Break
  • 16:00-17:00: Open discussion with participants from the project
  • 17:00-17:15: Summary and farewell (Prof. Dr. Stefanie Rosenmüller)
