Two exhibitors in one exhibition, with a remarkable first series of posters from the @100posterbattle sessions - class of Prof. LARS HARMSEN - the show also presents A2 Riso prints of the VISIONS FOR THE FUTURE project.
In April 2023, graphic designers and curators @lisa_panitz_design from Dortmund, Germany, @mahynourrelsawa and @nourabadawyy from Cairo, Egypt, launched an international open call to all creatives up to 25 years old to create an artwork that represents our future in 25 years. Imaginative and innovative artworks that address the pressing issues of our time and look to the future were the brief for the theme.
In cooperation with @Drucken3000 from Berlin, we offered to print the artworks on the DINA2 and DINA3 Riso printer. Riso printing is known for its unique texture and vibrant colors that make each print unique. We would also like to thank @Posterrex and Metapaper for supporting this project.
Almost 70 artworks were submitted and we then had the difficult task of selecting the final artworks, as each submission contained its own important message and insightful interpretations of our theme "What will the future look like in 25 years?".
We are now pleased to announce the 30 talented artists who were selected from our Open Call and will now be featured in our upcoming exhibition at the FB Design Gallery ( @fhdo_design) at Max-Ophüls-Platz 2 in 44137 Dortmund from May 31 to June 13, 2023.
We can't wait for all of these thought-provoking works to be on public display at the university soon and enter into a dialog with us about the future!
