Information
Students from the Faculty of Design at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts are showing their work at the traditional "Podest" exhibition, this time under the motto "Polishing Views". From Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 8, 2023, around 100 works from all of the faculty's study programs will be on display: Film and Sound, Photography, Object and Spatial Design and Communication Design.
The exhibition occupies several rooms in the faculty building at Max-Ophüls-Platz 2. The vernissage begins on Friday, October 6, at 5 pm. The exhibition will then be open on Saturday (October 7) and Sunday (October 8) from 12 noon to 6 pm. Admission is free of charge.
As always, the themes and realizations of the "Podest" contributions are very diverse. Timo Sodenkamp, for example, has developed the computer game "i never finish anyth". In it, a protagonist has to solve puzzles at the Faculty of Design, where time has stood still.
Oxana Guryanova has contributed a photo series that she took in Georgia. It focuses on the everyday life of twelve-year-old schoolgirl Tata, who dreams of changing her life and traveling the world.
Anna Daschkewitz, Thilo Hillen and Leonie Kohlenbach present a retrospective of their video installation "Insignia of Power". Using beamer projections on house windows, they have artistically addressed the vacant apartments in the town of Zeitz in Saxony-Anhalt.
