Projection mapping at Phoenix des Lumierés: “Best Of storyLab kiU”

For Museum Night, storyLab kiU will present an all-over projection developed specifically for the immersive exhibition at Phoenix West.

The projection transforms the 5,600-square-meter projection surface in the former gas blower hall of the Phoenix West blast furnace plant into a walk-in space for reflection. It condenses selected artistic research projects and aesthetic positions into a spatial composition. Experiments, narratives, technical developments, and presence in public space.

As part of the 3rd KoLab Days 2026, the co-production lab, in collaboration with Phoenix des Lumières, is inviting digital artists from the fields of 3D, sound, creative coding, film, and related disciplines to an interdisciplinary hackathon. Together, they will develop an immersive show lasting about ten minutes, which will premiere during the DEW21 Museum Night in Dortmund.
