Maker Faire Ruhr with University of Applied Sciences

Fast facts

Information

The "DASA Arbeitswelt Ausstellung" will be transformed into a creative laboratory of ideas for the 6th Maker Faire Ruhr on March 25 and 26, 2023. Visitors can expect a weekend full of unusual contributions to participate in and try out. The team from the "42nibbles" open lab at Fachhochschule Dortmund will also be there again.

At the UAS stand, students from the Open Lab will be presenting a selection of their technical exhibits together with lecturer Dieter Zumkehr from the Faculty of Computer Science. In addition to controllable robots, these include self-built arcade machines and a floppy organ with LED wall. Also on display are special desk lamps with a housing from the 3D printer, which were recently created in a workshop at the "Day of IT" at the Faculty of Computer Science. They can be operated via smartphone and can display different LED light colors.

If you can't make it to the event at DASA, Fachhochschule Dortmund's Open Lab is always open to anyone interested on Tuesdays from 5 p.m. at Emil-Figge-Straße 42.
