"FLÜGGE - From the first idea to the big opportunity" is the title of a new series of public events in which the "Hochschule vor Ort" in the Nordstadtgalerie presents Fachhochschule Dortmund alumni who have started their own business or students who are planning to do so. To kick things off, two former design students will be guests as founders of the pottery company "abc.ramics".
While still studying, Kirstin Ahrens and Hannah Bünemann launched their own studio in Dortmund's Unionviertel district. Since then, the two have successfully focused on producing and selling handmade ceramics and offering pottery workshops.
Together with the start-up service of Fachhochschule Dortmund, the alumni will talk to an audience on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 4 p.m. about the path to self-employment. The start-up service supports students from the first feedback on the start-up idea to the application for university-specific start-up funding programs.
This will be followed in the evening by a free workshop on handbuilding, which is already fully booked.
