Immerse yourself in the world of computer science ...
In an exciting interactive workshop of your choice in the Faculty of Computer Science, you will get to know the most diverse and varied topics of our Computer Science study programs and, as our philosophy "completely practice-oriented" says, you can try them out for yourself. The workshops are aimed at pupils from year 9 onwards and in particular at prospective students.
All offers are of course free of charge.
The Day of IT! (DoIT!) will take place on March 10, 2023 at the Faculty of Computer Science.
The program
In the current edition of DoIT! there is once again an exciting selection of topics from our computer science study programs*.
General schedule of the workshop day:
- 08.45 am: Meeting in the foyer of the faculty
- 09.00 a.m.: Short welcome & information on the schedule
- 09.30 a.m.: Workshops
- approx. 12.00 hrs: Lunch together (probably)
- approx. 13.00: Voluntary student counseling
- approx. 13.30: Continuation of the workshops
- approx. 16.00 hrs: End

Hygiene concept
As things stand at present, the DoIT! will take place using the 3G rule (vaccinated, recovered or tested). Should there be any changes, we will inform you by e-mail.
*All offers listed here are free of charge and are aimed at all interested parties. Only one workshop per participant is possible.
Previous knowledge is not required, but we take professional interest for granted. The courses only take place from a certain minimum number of participants.
If the restrictions allow, we are again planning a joint lunch to which the participants are cordially invited.
Organizer
Computer science determines our daily lives in almost all areas such as mobility, communication, health and work. As one of the largest and most broadly based computer science departments in NRW, we train the Future Makers of tomorrow with practice-oriented teaching.
The Faculty of Computer Science at Fachhochschule Dortmund usually offers the so-called "Day of IT (DoIT!)" once a year with various workshops for students.
