Bachelor's students from three different universities are showing their collaborative semester projects together in a pop-up exhibition.
So we, the students of Fachhochschule Dortmund from the course Mediale Strategien 3, the Folkwang University of the Arts from the Folkwang spricht seminar and we, the first semester students of Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences and Arts from the course Bewegtbild und Sound - offenes Arbeitsfeld are celebrating our vernissage of the multimedia exhibition "Spekulativ" on Thursday, February 2nd at 6:30 pm. The following day the exhibition will be open from 12 noon to 8 pm.
What unites us all is our common lecturer Marie Köhler and the examination of the "thing". Something that cannot be put into words, a world of emotions that cannot simply be described. Using photography, moving images and other media, we set out in search of our own "thing".
The results are very different positions. What unites them are our questions and observations that deal with current issues in the here and now, with the search for our own concerns and with the question of the appropriate creative realization.
In this way, we show works or initial approaches to ideas that allow an interplay between the media and, together, open up a view of current discourses.
