The HvO-Nordstadtgalerie presents the exhibition "From the Peaceful Revolution to German Unity" by the Federal Foundation for the Reappraisal of the SED Dictatorship. It offers a unique insight into the processes that led to protest and opposition and ultimately to change in Germany.

The exhibition is complemented by contributions from expert speakers and findings from the field of psychology through the project "Seelenarbeit im Sozialismus (SiSaP) - Psychologie unter politischem Diktat und Justiz" (Soul Work under Socialism (SiSaP) - Psychology under Political Dictatorship and Justice) from the Faculty of Applied Social Studies at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences.

A lecture is also currently being offered:

  • On Monday, 30 January 2023, Dr. Frank Hoffmann from the Institute for German Studies at Ruhr University Bochum will speak about "Life story(ies) in teaching, learning and research - examples, results and prospects".

The lecture begins at 6 pm.
