Mourning after the rampage at Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences

After the rampage of a student at the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the thoughts of those affected are also with the Fachhochschule Dortmund.

"We feel for the families of the victims, the students and teaching staff at HSHL and express our deepest sympathy to them," said Rector Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Schwick. "We condemn the tragic events and wish the injured a speedy recovery."

On Friday (June 10, 2022), a student attacked four people at the university with a knife; one victim succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. The three other injured people are no longer in danger of dying.
