Handbook "Strengthening scholarship culture" published

Published

Cover of the handbook "Strengthening the scholarship culture"

A new publication documents findings and good practice from the "Scholarship Culture Ruhr" project, in which Fachhochschule Dortmund was involved. The result is a guide for university members who are involved in the topic of scholarships and would like to contribute to a scholarship culture.

Clearly structured, the handbook presents tried-and-tested concepts and measures and, building on this, outlines overarching success factors. It also contains a compact guide for strategic planning and management. Scholarship holders, university staff and project participants also provide brief insights into their personal experiences.

The handbook "Strengthening the scholarship culture"(Opens in a new tab)  is available as a PDF on a download page. The appendix with best practice examples is also available digitally. There is also a material pool(Opens in a new tab)  with tools and templates for scholarship work. A printed copy is available on request.

Date for digital event

During a digital event on February 17, 2022 to mark the conclusion of the Stipendienkultur Ruhr project, the contributors will present the publication and invite discussion. Finally, university management and members of the RuhrFutur education initiative will discuss how the scholarship culture can be sustainably anchored. Registration is still possible on request.

In the "Scholarship Culture Ruhr" project, Fachhochschule Dortmund has been working together with six other universities and RuhrFutur since the end of 2018 until March 2022 to bring the topic of scholarships more into focus. The aim is to establish a holistic scholarship culture at the universities as well as across the board.
