The library has been offering FH members access to the Scopus citation and abstract database for several years. This service has now been upgraded. In addition to the regular search function, the AI tool"Scopus AI" can now also be used. Users can access the AI search interface via a separate tab.
Searching via Scopus AI not only makes it easier to find sources and citation data, but also provides a content summary of relevant documents as well as tips for further research questions, information on experts for the respective topic, a concept map that visualizes important connections and much more. The "Emerging Themes" feature can also help researchers to identify innovative research topics.
As part of a four-week test phase in November 2025, UAS members had the opportunity to test Scopus AI in advance and give feedback to the library. Numerous responses were received, for which the library team would like to express its sincere thanks. Most of the testers drew a positive conclusion and wanted the AI tool to be permanently integrated into the database. The library has complied with this request and has licensed Scopus AI - initially for three years - for an additional fee.
If you have any questions about using Scopus AI, the library team will be happy to help.
