IDiAL has published its annual report, which can be downloadedhere PDF-File 25,10 MB  . Founded in 2017 as the central scientific institute of Fachhochschule Dortmund, Institute for the Digital Transformation of Application and Living Domains (IDiAL) can look back on a very successful 2021, which manifests itself in more than 30 ongoing research projects(Opens in a new tab) , several leading specialist conferences, more than 40 of its own publications(Opens in a new tab)  and more than 100 theses supervised at the institute.

IDiAL cooperates with researchers from all faculties of the university, both in joint applications for third-party funding and, in some cases, in ongoing projects. In addition to specialist workshops, summer and winter schools, more than 100 international mobilities were again organized and financed for students and teaching staff. IDiAL enables more than 50 employees(Opens in a new tab)  to gain further qualifications, 26 of them in cooperative doctoral procedures(Opens in a new tab) . The institute is primarily financed by third-party funding - more than EUR 3.3 millionin 2021 - as well as additional funding from the university (including around EUR 300,0in cooperative doctoral procedures(Opens in a new tab) .
