University of Applied Sciences serves up "specialist knowledge for lunch"

Published

A total of eight lectures in the "Fachwissen zum Mittag" series will focus on academic publishing.

Fachhochschule Dortmund is once again offering the public online lecture series "Fachwissen zum Mittag" especially for (young) researchers and lecturers, but also for anyone interested in research.

FH librarian Eva Schameitat opened this year's lecture series.

If you want to place scientific publications skillfully, you not only need to build up extensive knowledge, but also know the rules of the publishing world, for example. Whether literature research, printing cost subsidies or self-marketing: there will be valuable tips on topics such as these in a total of eight lectures. Both experts from Fachhochschule Dortmund and external speakers will be involved.

To kick things off on February 23, 2023, UAS librarian Eva Schameitat addressed the topic of free and open access to academic publications.
