The library is expanding its database offering in three ways. FH members can now use the subject databases competitionline and IBISWorld, as well as the streaming platform Kanopy.
Access to competitionline is of particular interest to students, lecturers and researchers from the Faculty of Architecture. The database contains international competition entries and designs, as well as specialist articles, market data, interviews, competitions and scholarships for students. A one-time registration with an FH e-mail address is required for use.
IBISWorld was already available earlier this year as part of a test phase and has now been permanently licensed. This database is particularly relevant for members of the Faculty of Business Studies. It contains industry reports, trend and market analyses for Germany, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, China and key global markets. There are also ESG reports (sustainability reports).
FH members can now also watch over 22,000 high-quality feature films and documentaries via the Kanopy streaming platform. Cinema classics are included as well as international indie films and documentaries on a wide range of topics from science and society. Personal registration with an e-mail address is required to use some functions (e.g. watch list, playlist, "watch again" function).
