In countries and places, especially in rural areas with little infrastructure development, there are major challenges in terms of the construction needs of the people living there. This was the starting point for the concepts for educational buildings for young people in Namibia, which we developed in the winter semester 2021/2022 as part of the Integrated Project and Integrated Module. The project offers the possibility of 1:1 implementation and can be developed as a participatory process in cooperation with local people on a farm north of Windhoek.
Building on this, we dealt with the development process and the reflection of the project in the special areas of design module. At the same time, we discussed different approaches and the motivation behind our thoughts and actions.
The exhibition presents the results of the seminar, the processes and the methodical approach to creating the designs for the vocational labs in Omatako.
The projects were exhibited in the foyer of the Faculty of Architecture from June 27 to July 01, 2022.
