Equipment lending

As part of the energy saving campaign "Together less ..." at Fachhochschule Dortmund in fall/winter 2022/2023, the library has purchased 8 electricity meters for loan. The offer is aimed exclusively at FH members, primarily students. They can use the devices to identify "power guzzlers" in the home or office or simply check how much electricity devices such as laptops, coffee machines and fridges consume.

The measuring devices are issued in small boxes together with the operating instructions. They are available on request at the lending desk and can be borrowed for 2 weeks (without extension).

The electricity meters can be found via RiO and reserved if necessary:

Two pairs of wireless noise-canceling headphones (over-ear) are available for loan at the Emil-Figge-Str. 44 and Sonnenstraße locations. The offer is aimed exclusively at FH members, primarily students.

The headphones are available on request at the circulation desk and can be borrowed for 2 weeks (without extension).

There are 2 Conference Owls available for loan at the Emil-Figge-Str. 44 and Sonnenstraße locations. They combine a 360° camera, microphone and loudspeaker for hybrid meetings in one device. The offer is aimed exclusively at FH members, primarily students.

The conference owls are available on request at the circulation desk and can be borrowed for 2 weeks (without extension).
