Medical technology laboratory

Profile

In the medical informatics laboratories, we design applications at the interface between medicine, care and innovative technology. From image and signal processing to software technology and the management of electronic health records, the content taught in our degree program is as diverse as medicine itself. With their high-tech equipment, the Medical Informatics laboratories provide the basis for practical training and enable students to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in lectures from the fields of

  • telematics and telemedicine
  • Visualization and interaction
  • Virtual applications, 3D computer vision in medicine
  • Image and signal processing in medicine
  • Data protection and data security
  • Knowledge-based systems
  • Management of the electronic health record
  • Commercial applications in medicine

in greater depth.
