Become a supporter for international students

The target group for Matching Funds scholarships are international students (foreign students) who have obtained their higher education entrance qualification at a school abroad or who have supplemented their school qualifications acquired abroad with a German preparatory course. The language of instruction for international students is a foreign language and there is usually no entitlement to benefits under the Federal Training Assistance Act or the possibility of taking out student loans.

Currently, the proportion of international students (foreign students) enrolled at Fachhochschule Dortmund is 13 percent, which corresponds to 1,800 students out of a total student body of 15,000 students.

Do you want to support international students and contribute to more equal opportunities? Then make a donation!

We will conclude a funding agreement with you for donations of 150 euros or more. Your donation must be made from non-public third-party funds. The DAAD will provide a 1:1 match for your donation, which means that the DAAD will double your donation! You will also receive a donation receipt from Fachhochschule Dortmund.

The following scholarships are awarded as part of a selection process in accordance with DAAD guidelines to international students (foreign students) who are enrolled at Fachhochschule Dortmund and are in Germany for study purposes.

• Contact scholarships
• Matching funds scholarships

Scholarship holders are selected by a selection committee in which the International Office of Fachhochschule Dortmund is involved.

Thanks to the commitment of these companies, private individuals, foundations, clubs and associations, we have been able to award scholarships to international students in accordance with DAAD guidelines in recent years.
