Applied research is on upswing! Every two years the DART Symposium (Dortmund Applied Research and Transfer) takes place, organised by the Graduate Center and some doctoral candidates at Fachhochschule Dortmund, which invites (cooperative) doctoral candidates from North Rhine-Westphalia and nationwide to network. By doctoral candidates for doctoral candidates – interdisciplinary, innovative and international!
The next DART Symposium will take place on 25 April 2024 at DASA Dortmund as a hybrid format under the heading"Extending Theory: Impact of Applied Research" in English. In addition to several lectures and a panel discussion with renowned speakers from Germany and abroad, the symposium is intended to offer doctoral candidates and doctoral graduates at Fachhochschule Dortmund the opportunity to present their own research, get to know other doctoral candidates and exchange ideas with them. In a time slot of approx. 20 minutes, they can therefore give an insight into their applied research project through various forms of presentation (in person or digitally) - be it through lectures, videos, prototypes, performances or much more.
