Information for international student applicants

In addition to German nationals, students from European Union member states, and international or ‘stateless' students with German matriculation for institutes of higher education can request the application form for admission to degree courses with a limited number of places, or the application form for degree courses with open enrolment at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, DUASA).

All international students should apply via the International Office at DUASA, Sonnenstr. 100, 44139 Dortmund, Tel: (02 31) 91 12 - 266, E-Mail: lopin @, where you can pick up all the necessary application documentation and can ask for advice on the conditions for admission. Prospective students are required to pass a German language examination before registration.

German nationals whose matriculation qualifications for university were not obtained at a German language school or institute are required to demonstrate German language skills, for instance by having passed the DSH-Sprachprüfung or the Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache für ausländische Studienbewerberinnen und -bewerber (TestDaF). The latter is offered at the DUASA and applicants should contact the International Office, Tel: (02 31) 91 12 - 266, E-Mail: lopin @
