EuroPIM is a project on internationalisation and strategic partnerships in the areas of digital transformation, innovation and project management as well as embedded systems for mechatronics. Together with our partners, EuroPIM works in a structure of cooperating master and PhD programmes.

Extension of the EuroPIM Network with Ukrainian Partner Universities

Short description:
The project aims to expand the DAAD EuroPIM Network by including two Ukrainian partner universities through established cooperation formats (e.g. Summer Schools, Block Teaching Weeks) between the partners. Current topics in the areas of sustainable project management and systems engineering are to be anchored in the transformation processes of academic research and education in Ukraine.

Internationalization For Building Competences

Short description:
Within in the project "Internationalization For Building Competences", the cooperation between the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the FH Dortmund in the field of social work collaborates on joint conception, testing, implementation and establishment of new teaching modules with theory-practice-related and transdisciplinary components. The modules are planned to be offered at both universities.

Short description:
Photography as a contemporary medium for documentation and communication as well as graphic design are in the center of this multi-part artistic-design development project. The transfer of knowledge about the medial interdependencies between society and design in the context of publication is a particular focus of the project.

Summer School "Parallel Worlds" at the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture, Ulan Bator

Short description:
During the Summer School, lecturers of the FH Dortmund, Faculty of Design, as well as speakers from the University of the Arts, Berlin, and the NGO Urban Nomads // Nomad Citizens familiarise the students of the Mongolian partner university with the basic theoretical and practical artistic-sociological research methods in interdisciplinary seminar formats.

Short description:

International Autumn Course: "Refugee children and families in Europe"

Short description:
Within the framework of this course, the BA study programme Social Work with focus on Poverty and (Refugee) Migration of the FH Dortmund receives a group of students from Brussels. The participants receive a profound overview of specific approaches, methods and transnational perspectives on the topics of flight and immigration as well as practical insights into local social work at Dortmund.

"Living after the crisis - people without place/places without people". Prospects of different approaches to space consumption in Spain and Germany

Short description:
The project aims to compare the different uses of space in Germany and Spain, considering both privately used space and public space. The respective national disposition is to be made in two summer schools starting point for mutual learning and the joint development of sustainable forms of land use.

Promotion of 1.5-year student mobility in the course International Business Management

Short description:
As part of the DAAD programme, the degree programme "International Business Management" was newly established at the Department of Business Studies at the FH Dortmund. This is an 8-semester course of studies with a compulsory stay abroad for 3 semesters (1.5-years). The project includes scholarships for FH students as well as the development of an efficient international partner portfolio.
