Arrival in Dortmund!

Finally the application has been completed and your semester abroad at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts/ Fachhochschule Dortmund is about to start! Moving to a different place or country requires lots of organisational processes that are sometimes difficult to understand and to adjust to. Moving into the dormitory

Registration in the City of Dortmund

The latest within 2 weeks after moving in you should contact the responsible Citizen Services and register in the city you live in - in Dortmund it is Bürgerdienste (for EU-Citizens) or Bürgerdienste International (for Non-EU-Citizens). In case you have visa and you stay longer than your visa is valid - you also must apply there for a residence permit. Here you will find more information on that topic.
