Application for Bachelor's programs

Fachhochschule Dortmund - University of Applied Sciences and Arts offers:

Bachelor's study programs with open admission

There is no selection process based on the grade of the university entrance qualification or other criteria for the Bachelor's programs with open admission. If you submit your application in due form and time, you are sure to be admitted.

However, you can only be enrolled if you meet the admission requirements of the respective study program (in particular university entrance qualification, internship, etc.).

Bachelor's study programs with restricted admission

In Bachelor's programs with restricted admission, students to be admitted will be selected after the review of all application documents received in due form and time in accordance with the criteria specified in the Regulations on the Allocation of Study Places (StudienplatzVVO NRW). The grade of the university entrance qualification, for example, is very important in this process.

The study places are allocated in cooperation with the Foundation for University Admission SfH (hochschulstart.de(Opens in a new tab) ). If you would like to apply for one of our Bachelor's programs with restricted admission, you must first register there.

Follow the hochschulstart.de link to register. You will receive an applicant ID and an applicant BAN. You will need these to apply on the pages of Fachhochschule Dortmund. If you have already created an account on hochschulstart.de for a previous application, please have your existing BID and BAN ready.

Please note:
While registering at hochschulstart.de, you can upload application documents. Fachhochschule Dortmund will NOT access or review these documents or consider them for the application.
