Office for Student Affairs

The Office for Student Affairs is a new concept, officially introduced at Fachhochschule Dortmund in July 2001. Based on the idea of providing “services from a single source”, it unites the previously separate registrar’s and examinations offices. All services essential for studying are now available in the Office for Student Affairs via a single contact person, who takes care of the student from enrolment to withdrawal upon a successful completion of studies.

Students receive help and advice on the following course-related matters:

  • application for study
  • enrolment
  • enrolment renewal
  • leave of absence
  • examination registration and cancellation
  • registration for final thesis
  • issuing of course accounts
  • certifications for pension funds
  • withdrawal from studies

In the Office for Student Affairs, location Sonnenstraße 96, you will find contact persons who will provide you with information on:

  • study courses, admission requirements and application procedure
  • application, admission and enrolment for beginners and transfer students
  • enrolment of cross-registered students and auditors

The Office for Student Affairs has two locations: Sonnenstraße 96 and Emil-Figge-Straße 38.

Students and prospective students may also call on the Student Counselling Service concerning structure of study, contents of study, admission requirements and application procedure.
