How to register for the courses offered by the University Sport ↓

In order to register for courses you just need to buy the “Sportkarte” (sport card) which gives you membership for a whole semester. For only 15/semester students of FH Dortmund and TU Dortmund can get such a card  and take part in a great selection of more than 60 kinds of sports. Booking is a fast and easy online process on the website of the Hochschulsport.

Please notice: You do not need a sport card for the gym (Fitnesssförderwerk) but a special fitness card (Fitnesskarte)!

There are 3 different forms of registration for participating in sports courses:

  1. Free courses without registration:
No registration is necessary here. If you look at the particular sports course in the category "Preis" there is only: entgeltfrei (free of charge) or nur mit Sportkarte (only with sports card) and in the category "booking" you will find: ohne Anmeldung (without registration). So you can just go with your sports card and do not have to register.

  2. Free courses with mandatory registration:
Registration is necessary here due to limited seats. If you look at the particular sports course in the category "Preis" there is only: entgeltfrei (free of charge) or nur mit Sportkarte (only with sports card) and in the category "Buchung" you will find: buchen (book - which in this case mean: register). So you can just go with your sports card and do not have to register. So o
nly after you have registered you can go to your course with your sports card.

  3. Courses with an extra fee and a mandatory registration:
Here you must register for the course, as there are only limited places and an extra fee is being charged too. If you look at the particular sports course in the category "Preis": the respective fee is written and in the category "Buchung" you will find: buchen (book - which in this case mean: register). So only after you have registered and paid the fee you can go to your course with your sports card.
