Curriculum Vitae – Prof. Michael Boecker
Dr. Michael Boecker is professor of social work management and impact orientation of social work and and representative for international affairs at the Department of Applied Social Sciences at Fachhochschule Dortmund. Due to his more than 15 years of experience in developmental cooperation, Prof. Boecker has years of experience with projects in southern Africa and is involved in numerous research activities, most recently on the life situation of single mothers in South Africa and Germany.

- Setup and long-term support for an orphanage with a total of 38 children and youths near Durban, South Africa
- Start-up funding for the setup of an in-patient hospice and healthcare center for people who are dying or in need of care in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa
- Conceptual preparations for the setup of a HIV prevention center in Durban, with the support of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development and local foundation partners in South Africa
