Funding for international Bachelor's students
International Bachelor's students with good academic grades can receive a one-time financial AMICUS grant from the International Office of Fachhochschule Dortmund - University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Students who have earned at least 20 ECTS points within one semester at Fachhochschule Dortmund, can apply for this grant. In addition, you must have participated in an integration talk. Support during the graduation period
International students who are in need of financial assistance to complete their studies can apply for a graduation grant at the International Office. These funds are provided to universities by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (AA). The graduation grant is intended to make it easier for international students to complete their studies. Scholarships for refugees "NRWege ins Studium"
As part of the program "NRWege ins Studium - Integration von Flüchtlingen an Hochschulen in Nordrhein-Westfalen" of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the International Office of Fachhochschule Dortmund awards scholarships to students with a refugee background who can present proof of good to very good academic performance.
The scholarship program is for students with a refugee background who have taken up, are continuing or would like to complete their studies in Germany and is open to applicants from all study programs who have acquired their higher education entrance qualification abroad.
Study start scholarships for international students with a refugee background
The award of a study entry scholarship is possible in a Bachelor's and Master's program within the 1st semester. Students with difficulties in applying for BAföG will be given priority.

Scholarships for students who have been affected by the war in Ukraine
Fachhochschule Dortmund, University of Applied Sciences and Arts, awards 2 scholarships of a sponsor to students who have been affected by the war in Ukraine and thus need financial support during their studies. The application is possible for Ukrainian and Russian students.
Applicants should be able to present evidence of good to very good academic performance. We receive the funding from a private sponsor. The scholarships with a duration of one year (01.03.2023 - 28.02.2024) with a maximum amount of 861 €, are exclusively for regularly enrolled students, exchange students are excluded. Long-term funding is planned, depending on the progress of the study, with a maximum funding period of 3 years. Please note that there is no legal entitlement to the scholarships.

DAAD Prize for outstanding achievements and social commitment of international students
For several years now, Fachhochschule Dortmund has annually awarded a monetary prize, the so-called DAAD Prize(Opens in a new tab) , to an international student with an outstanding academic performance and remarkable social commitment. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides these funds to the universities, financed by funds from the German Federal Foreign Office (AA).
