MA Scenography and Communication (4 Semesters)

The SCENOGRAPHY AND COMMUNICATION master programme is a two-year graduate course for designers, architects, planners and other creative professionals as well as alumni of cultural or media studies or the humanities and arts who already hold a degree and would like to work in the field of scenography – e.g. at the theatre, as curators at museums or in media production.

The programme is laid out as a practical project under the supervision of our professors. The possibility for creative, technical or scientific consolidation is available at both the department as well as within the framework of our academic and commercial networks. These include application-oriented conferences as well as scientific colloquia at the department or excursions. The master programme accepts scenographic projects from all areas of the creative, artistic and performing arts and event design. Preferred fields of work are the stage and theatre, exhibitions and museums, public space and events – in both cultural and/or commercial context. Both professional applications in media and scenographic realisations in a virtual environment are possible.

This programme has an international focus and promotes the expansion of and cooperation with the worldwide scenography network.

The SCENOGRAPHY AND COMMUNICATION master programme lasts 4 semesters and is completed with an exam for the Master of Arts degree.
