Application documents
Use the link in the e-mail from Mobility Online to first complete your personal master data. You will then be taken to the overview of your application history, in which you can check the status of your application at any time and make subsequent changes. Here you will be asked step by step to upload various documents. In order for the application to be accepted, all steps must be completed.
The following documents must be submitted:

- proof of language proficiency in the language of instruction at the host university
- transcript of records
- Learning Agreement (see below)

If you have ticked the question of accommodation with "Yes", your request will be passed on to Studierendenwerk Dortmund, through which the accommodation processing takes place.
If you have any questions, please contact exchange-studentsfh-dortmundde
Learning Agreement
The Learning Agreement (LA) is your personal study plan on which you record the courses you have selected and any changes you may make.
Information about the process:
- The Learning Agreement is part of your application documents.
- It is available for download in the Mobility Online Portal.
- For each semester, you enter courses with a maximum total of 30 ECTS in the LA.
- The LA must then be signed first by your home university and you, and then by Fachhochschule Dortmund (international representative).
- Within the application deadlines you have to upload the LA with the signatures in the portal.
- This is followed by a review of the documents by the International Office.
- No later than 3 weeks after arrival at Fachhochschule Dortmund, the feasibility of the courses will be checked and changes will be made if necessary.
- After you have changed your LA, you will again need the signatures of your home university and the international representative of your faculty at Fachhochschule Dortmund.
- You have to upload the changed LA independently in the portal with all signatures.
- You will receive all necessary information for your course selection from the international representative of your faculty (see below).
Please make sure that all of the exams you have selected are offered during your stay. At Fachhochschule Dortmund, exams are offered in two stages. The second part of the examination usually extends into the following semester. This examination period is often outside of your residence time, requires you to re-register at Fachhochschule Dortmund by paying the semester contribution fee and overlaps with the restart of your studies at your home university.
Attention: A Learning Agreement does not replace the registration for the exam via the study portal. You will receive the access data after enrollment. Each faculty has its own deadlines for registering and de-registering for exams. If you fail to register for an exam, you will not be able to take the exam. You can obtain information about the study portal from your departemental coordinator or your study office.
